Some Of The Scariest Foods| In The World!

People are even more adventurous about braving unfamiliar dishes. But as much as you may love to try new delicacies, there are plenty of exotic specialties you may think twice about seeing on your plate. Work up an appetite why not these scary foods are notorious for stinking, looking weird and even causing death. Some say that a vacation isn't complete without trying the local foods, and with
culinary tourism stronger than ever. Apart from just the aesthetics, however, there's a whole bunch of foodstuffs that can do some insane damage to our bodies, people are eating food that can paralyze, maim and kill them the world over.

Here are some of the most scary food items in the world.


Tuna: 

At present tastes great in sandwiches, the mercury that tuna absorbs is a very present threat and the mercury should pass through your kidneys, but it can also travel into your brain and cause severe psychological problems. What a lame way to go insane. It's once eaten!

Sugar:

Each American consumes 150 pounds, on average, of sugar each year. While that fact alone is a bit scary, what is more concerning is that only 25 pounds of that is from actual sugar. A large majority of what people are consuming is in foods that people might not even expect to be sugary such as peanut butter or canned vegetables. The use of high fructose corn syrup has gone up 4 percent in the last decade, meaning extra sugar is now added to products from ketchup to dried fruit. Check your food labels to prevent an unintentional sugar overload.

Puffer Fish:

Japan may be known for preparing the world's best sushi, but here's one fish they might want to leave in the ocean. The puffer fish or "fugue" is so poisonousÙˆ It can kill someone as the diner who gets a lethal dose of the toxins can quickly submit to asphyxiation. Toxins must be removed so carefully that chefs need to be specially trained. The transparent fish tastes clean and mild, but considering it's one of the most dangerous foods in the world.

Ackee Fruit:

Ackee is the national food of Jamaica and is a staple diet of theirs. While it is rich in essential fatty acids, zinc, vitamin A, and protein, it also contains a toxin that can cause severe vomiting. Apart from that, it can also cause coma and death if eaten unripe. Also, avoid the black seeds.

Potassium Bromate:

Potassium bromate is a flour additive that’s used to give commercial bread that springy and squishy texture. In the late 1980, it was found to cause tumors, kidney and thyroid in rats, and many countries, including the United Kingdom  and Canada, banned it a few years later. If you live in California, you can breathe easy—the state banned potassium bromate in 1991. Various places in the United States, though, it is allowed. The FDA has only asked bakeries to “voluntarily” cease using the additive. So check labels—it’s still included in some popular brands of hamburger and  hot dog, buns and other soft-baked goods.

Canned pineapple:

The FDA allows canned pineapple to contain up to 20% of moldy fruit, ground cinnamon to carry a small portion of animal excrement and more

Chickens:

Chickens are fatter than they were 42 years ago due to massive farming practices. As the animals get fatter so do we.

Milk:

Milk that contains the hormone rBST may contain cancer! Yes, this hormone is given to the animal and then it enters their milk. This hormone has been associated with prostate, colon cancer and breast.

Junk Food:

Junk Food: We know all about that problem and hope we can work together to resolve it. The worst part is Weight gain and fat. That the cost of heavily processed junk food is so high because of the costs involved with processing it!
